NIMBAS Graduate School of Management awarded status of “Universiteit”

The Dutch Ministry of Education has awarded the "universiteit" status to the NIMBAS Graduate School of Management. As of August 24th, the Utrecht based business school is officially named Universiteit NIMBAS. In the Netherlands, achieving the "universiteit" status is a rare occurrence. The last institute to reach this status was the Wageningen University for Life Sciences, the former Landbouwhogeschool, in 1986. NIMBAS is now officially the 15th university in the Netherlands. Dr. Joséphine Borchert-Ansinger, founder and president of Universiteit NIMBAS: “We have always aimed for a top position in the national and international field of education, by structurally offering high quality educational programmes. The "universiteit" status is the logical result of fifteen years of hard work and structurally high positions in the rankings of The Economist and The Financial Times. I believe that the international character of NIMBAS - with international professors and international programmes – can make a great contribution to the Dutch academic world and especially enhance the academic standard of the city of Utrecht.
